Golden Triangle Adventure

Visit the hilltribe settlement at Doi tung then continue to Mae Sai (at the border of Myanmar) for shopping. Proceed to Chiang Saen and Chiang Khong. Also visit the Hmong hilltribe and enjoy lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Mekong river. The trip ends with a 3 hours trek from Cheng Meng up Doi Chi Fa of which you will enjoy a spectacular view of the entire valley including Laos and the Mekong river..

| Explore The Golden Triangle. Pick up at hotel at 08:30. Visit the hilltribe settlement project at Doi Tung. Continue to Mae Sai for a stop at the bridge to Myanmar and shopping. Continue to the Golden Triangle Resort for lunch. After lunch drive along the Mekong river to Chiang Saen for a visit to the 14th century ruins. Leaving Chiang Saen, continue by road to Chiang Khong. Overnight at Ban Golden Triangle, overlooking the Mekong River. (L, D) |

| Chiang Khong To Cheng Meng. Early this morning, visit the market where you will see the Hmong hilltribe villagers buy their produce. Return to Ban Golden Triangle for breakfast, and continue visiting villages in the area before lunch. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant overlooking the spot where the giant Mekong catfish spawn and are caught by local fishermen. After lunch, continue to the Hmong village of Cheng Meng for dinner and overnight in our own private hilltribe home. (B, L, D) |

| Return To Chiang Rai. After breakfast in the village, trek from Cheng Meng up Doi Chi Fa (Mountain that points to the sky). The trek is approximately three hours, at the end of which you will enjoy a spectacular view of the entire valley including Laos and the Mekong river. Lunch at the peak, then return to Cheng Meng and transfer back to Chiang Rai. (B, L) |
